THE CUSTTAD LOGO
The black and white drawing which we use as the CUSTTAD LOGO was produced on the 24th October 1996 by a boy from ROYSTON PRIMARY SCHOOL GLASGOW. Freddie Kruger and Dracula were making regular appearances in his dreams after he had seen them in a video. He was also anticipating their appearance during his day at school. More specifically he was frightened that they would come down into his classroom through a space in the lowered ceiling where a large tile was missing.
He spoke of how he had bee unable to attend to his work in class because of this fear.
At Talk and Draw, after talking about this and other aspects of his family life which had been causing him concern he added superman to his drawing and said 'And Superman comes and saves me.'
This was followed by a visit to his class teacher where he explained to her his recent inability to concentrate on his work: a situation which had prompted her to suggest some time in the CUSTTAD room. The tile in the ceiling was replaced and he decided it would be best if he stopped watching 'scary' videos.
